History
The origin of such exquisite architecture proclaims the prosperity of Caramiñal in the 16th century. Place then elevated to the category of villa. Among the most ambitious individuals of that human fabric of the Five Hundred, the names of Juan Domínguez Giance and Constanza Domínguez de Búa stand out, a couple of extensive wealth. They are the promoters of this building.
As time went by, this tower and main house was the home of the paternal lineage of the writer Valle-Inclán. First, taken in a forum in the final years of the 18th century. Then, acquired as a consequence of the confiscation laws in the mid-19th century. Don Ramón del Valle-Inclán would profess great affection for this family heritage. He alludes to the tower with emotion, in the press or in gatherings, and it figures in stories of Galician inspiration as a significant setting of class and lordship. Here he declares having resided upon returning from his first trip to the Americas (1893).
